Es un placer para mí participar por segundo año consecutivo en el Festival de Tango de Shanghái, el cual se va transformando, con el tiempo, en uno de los eventos que hacen de esta ciudad el mejor escenario de Asia para la cultura mundial.

La República Argentina es un país latinoamericano que por la confluencia de sus raíces, tanto americanas como europeas, se destaca en todas las manifestaciones artísticas de manera muy original. Es en el Tango donde es posible encontrar la mejor síntesis de todas ellas. Sus letras profundas, su ritmo lento pero firme, su melodía imprevisible y, por sobre todas las cosas, su baile apasionado, reflejan la identidad y el sentir del pueblo argentino.

Gracias al Festival de Tango, y a la esmerada organización de Tango Bang, esa identidad y ese sentir tan argentino pueden ser vividos intensamente como propio por el público de Shanghái, China y Asia, durante una semana, en los mejores salones de esta ciudad.

La presencia de dos orquestas en vivo y de tres parejas de baile, todos ellos argentinos, aseguran a los asistentes al Festival que podrán cerrar los ojos e imaginar que están en cualquier esquina de Buenos Aires, ciudad capital de la República Argentina y cuna de esta música que tanto amamos.

Es mi deseo, pues, que disfruten del Segundo Festival de Tango de Shanghái, ya que el Tango es mi país, y durante esta semana, mi país está en Shanghái.

It’s gonna be another exciting week to welcome the best of the best Tango Orchestra and Masters, dancers around the world, gathering in Shanghai to enjoy a week of Tango festival with music, dance, and lots of fun and excitement.

To present the best of Shanghai, the milongas at 2nd SHTF will be at the most glamorous and monumental venues, the Club of Shanghai and The Paramount.

Another highlight of the festival this year is that, we’ll officially present Turquoise Shoes, the most stylish and comfortable shoes, and we’ll dedicate the International Milonga on 7/13 as the Turquoise Night.

And finally, the biggest excitement is that for the first time in Asia, we’ll have Sexteto Milonguero in Shanghai to give LIVE tango music during the festival!

2ND Shanghai International Tango Festival welcomes Tango Fanatics from all over the world!

Jonatan Aguero & Vivian Yeh

Jonatan Aguero, from Argentina, started falling in love with Tango since 7 years old. He’s been learning tango with the most renowned masters, such as: Pupi Castelo, Osvaldo Zotto, Jorge Dispari, Jorge Firpo, Fabian Peralta, Javier Rodriguez, Gabriel Misse, Sebastian Achaval, Nito y Elba, Coca and Osvaldo…etc. He has won plenty of titles in the past 10 years. From March 2012, he joins TangoBang in Shanghai to grow Argentina Tango in China.

Vivian Yeh, Founder of TangoBang. has been teaching and organizing Argentina Tango class / workshop / performance since 2008. Vivian loves dancing and started since age 5 in Ballet; she’s been actively exploring popular dance formats including salsa, folk, flamenco; and belly dance. Vivian has a strong background in music which represent strong musicality and dynamics in her dance. As the principle timpanist with Taipei Philharmonic orchestra and Taiwan Wind Ensemles, she’s been tour in Europe / US / Asia since 2000.

我非常高兴能连续两年参加上海探戈节，随着时间的推移，这个节日逐渐使上海这座城市成为在亚洲展示世界文化的最好平台。

阿根廷作为一个拉美国家，追溯历史，它是美洲文化和欧洲文化共同结晶的产物，它的所有艺术表演都遵循原汁原味。而在探戈艺术中，你有可能找到他们之间最完美的融合。它意境深远的歌词，缓慢而铿锵有力的韵律，浮想联翩的旋律，尤其是其凌驾于一切的激情舞蹈，完美的反射了阿根廷人民的思想和身份认同感。

感谢上海探戈节，感谢“探戈帮”的精心组织和安排，在整个活动周中，让阿根廷人民的这种思想和身份感在上海最好的舞台上强烈而生动的传递给上海、中国乃至全亚洲的人民。

本次活动将有两个阿根廷乐队和三对阿根廷舞者为大家带来现场表演，观众们可以闭上你们的眼睛，慢慢享受，想象自己置身于阿根廷首都布宜诺斯艾利斯的任何一个角落，这个我们如此热爱的音乐摇篮。

探戈代表我的国家，所以在整个探戈周期间，我的国家就在上海，希望大家尽情享受“上海第二届探戈节”。

這將會是激動人心的一個星期，我們歡迎世界著名的探戈樂團、大師和全球各地的舞者相聚在上海，在這一周的探戈節中，我們將盡情享受音樂與舞蹈所帶​​來的歡樂與激情，共同譜下難忘的回憶。

第二屆上海國際探戈節將會在具上海風情、最為迷人和久富盛名的場館舉辦舞會，即上海漾樂會和百樂門。

作為本屆上海國際探戈節的另一大亮點，我們將正式引進Turquoise Shoes，Turquoise Shoes以時尚和舒適在世界享譽盛名。同時，7月13日國際舞會將命名為Turquoise之夜。

最後，我們有幸邀請到世界著名的探戈樂團Sexteto Milonguero來到中國上海，在上海探戈節期間進行現場表演。這是他們首次來到亞洲，這將令整個亞洲無比振奮！
